About
My name is Jacob Vogin and I am majoring in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida.
I grew up just outside of Orlando, Florida, and have always had a strong love for nature and all things wildlife. At UF, I realized that I could work in a career that allows me to contribute to the conservation of wildlife. This major has opened me up to so many amazing experiences.
My first time leaving the US was two years ago for a three-week study abroad program in Kenya, Africa that focused on ecology and conservation. I quickly fell in love with international research and have since spent a semester in South Africa for an African Ecology study abroad program, and am currently conducting research for two months in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
